Privacy Policy

Who we are

Nate Roberts Music LLC operates The Singing Family. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you visit the site, join the mailing list, create an account, purchase a subscription, or use the curriculum.

Information we collect

  • Account details such as an adult’s name and email address.
  • Authentication, device, and security information used to keep you signed in and protect the service.
  • Billing records such as Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, invoice, refund, and dispute identifiers and statuses.
  • Billing-address and payment information collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store complete card numbers.
  • Mailing-list information and messages you send to customer support.
  • Product usage information such as pages viewed, buttons used, curriculum and lesson activity, completion progress, device type, referral source, and performance measurements.
  • Privacy-masked session replays that reproduce interactions with the rendered site. Replays do not access your camera or microphone, and form inputs are masked before replay data leaves the browser.
  • Basic server logs and service activity needed for security, troubleshooting, and reliable curriculum access.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide sample and paid curriculum access, process and reconcile subscriptions, calculate tax, send account and billing communications, answer support requests, prevent fraud, maintain the service, and comply with legal obligations. We also use product analytics and session replays to understand where people encounter problems and whether the curriculum is useful. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

We disclose information as needed to providers that help us operate the service, including Stripe for payments and tax, Better Auth for account workflows, Turso for application data, Cloudflare R2-compatible storage for private curriculum media, Loops for email, PostHog for product analytics and session replay, and our web-hosting and infrastructure providers. They may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Cookies and similar storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember necessary application state, and protect the service. When PostHog is configured, we also use browser storage and cookies to connect page activity into sessions, measure referrals, and remember analytics choices. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies.

Children’s privacy

Accounts are for adults. Although children may use curriculum under a parent’s or guardian’s supervision, we do not knowingly ask children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information directly so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Retention and security

We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain transaction and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention periods vary by record type. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system is completely secure.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing messages using the link in those messages. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where required by law or legitimate business needs. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.

Changes and contact

We may update this Policy and will post the revised effective date. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to contact@thesingingfamily.com.
